Formed in March 2020, and officially launched in June, Friends of Vanuatu is brand new and seeking foundational support.
We are building this non-profit organization to work towards our vision of a community connected and supported by our common interest in the country of Vanuatu. We seek to create opportunities for R/PCVs and others who love Vanuatu to remain connected to Vanuatu, and with each other. We also promote and charitably support community-driven development projects within Vanuatu.
Donating to Founder's Fund is specifically to help us establish our platform and cover expenses as we ramp-up operations and grow our membership. For this reason, Founder's Fund donations begin at $100. Any funds that exceed our first-year overhead will remain in our general fund for future needs. You can expect these funds to go towards the expense of operating the website, buying software, banking fees, fund-raising, establishing a merchandise program, events, and marketing, etc. Your donation to the Founder's Fund will allow us to begin supporting Peace Corps Volunteers and community-driven programming sooner. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit - your contribution is tax-deductible. Our board and any associates all serve as volunteers.
