Cyclone Harold Emergency Recovery Fund
On April 3rd, 2020, Tropical Cyclone Harold hit Vanuatu as a Category 5 storm with winds up to 183 mph. The devastation was overwhelming and widespread, destroying homes and food supplies, and impacting over 160,000 people. Donating to the FOV Cyclone Harold Emergency Recovery Fund means your dollars will go to community-driven projects specifically focused on post-Harold recovery efforts.
Formed in March 2020, and officially launched in June, Friends of Vanuatu is brand new and seeking foundational support.
Donating to Founder's Fund is specifically to help us establish our platform and cover expenses as we ramp-up operations and grow our membership. You can expect these funds to go towards operating the website, buying software, banking fees, fund-raising, establishing a merchandise program, event overhead, etc. Your donation to the Founder's Fund will allow us to begin supporting Peace Corps Volunteers and community-driven programming sooner.
